A Redlands education takes you far beyond traditional classroom walls. From day one, you will begin to cultivate your worldview and engage with global cultures through clubs and events on campus. When you are ready for more, you will explore endless opportunities to study abroad and immerse yourself in a new culture, choosing from faculty-led study away courses, month-long travel during May Term, or a full term or year of study abroad.
Many Bulldogs choose the opportunities that come with participating in our signature Salzburg Semester, where you’ll live and learn in a 500-year-old Renaissance building overlooking Salzburg’s historic center. You’ll immerse yourself in the cultural traditions, historical sites, and contemporary social spheres of Europe—visiting the theater for an opera, ballet, or play, attending classical and contemporary concerts, museum and gallery tours, and visits to memorial sites and encounters with challenging histories.
No matter the destination, you’ll gain a new global perspective, lifelong memories, and bonded friends during your Redlands study abroad experience.

Worldwide classrooms and a globally engaged campus
Study away
Study away is an integral aspect of a Redlands education. From semester- and year-long programs to short-term courses led by our faculty, students have opportunities to extend their learning across the globe. Whether participating in the university’s signature Salzburg, Austria semesters or enrolling in an academic partner program on one of six continents, study abroad transforms students into knowledgeable global citizens.
International students and scholars
The University of Redlands is a magnet for international students who are drawn to our programs in business, education, communication sciences and disorders, geographic information systems, music, and other fields across the liberal arts.
School of Business & Society International Programs
The Redlands Schools of Business & Society offer students an extensive selection of study-abroad courses that are arranged to accommodate their busy schedules. Our students study global business, education, and mental health service delivery in other countries first-hand, often in some of the most remarkable regions of the world.
Worldwide classrooms
Walking through a classroom door can take you to another part of the world. At the University of Redlands, our classes are infused with global content, questions, and perspectives. Whether you have an intrinsically transnational major, such as international relations or global business, or a liberal arts field like English or religious studies, we make our learning community a global one.
Globally engaged campus
Thinking globally will become second nature at Redlands. You will be invited to meet world leaders, learn about issues beyond our borders, plan projects, and interact with students from dozens of countries. These informal learning opportunities will allow you to be a global citizen in your daily interactions, creating the type of leader we need for the future.
Education is everywhere
All over the world, through partner schools and study abroad opportunities, Redlands lets you discover the world as it really is—firsthand.
